KJP Rü is a child and adolescent psychiatry practice based in Essen, Germany, offering specialized care and support for young people.
The goal for this project was to develop a visual identity and website that would appeal to a broad age range, ensuring the design felt professional and welcoming without being overly childlike.
It was important to strike a balance between warmth and modernity, creating an inviting yet polished atmosphere that feels both approachable and professional.
The Brand
The branding was designed to be clean, modern, and timeless, avoiding playful or overly childish elements. The aesthetic needed to complement the practice’s interior design, which features a concrete industrial feel softened by warm wood accents. The result is a refined yet welcoming identity that blends seamlessly with the practice’s physical space, reinforcing a sense of calm and professionalism.
The Website
The goal of the website was to be clean, user-friendly, and free of unnecessary distractions. Minimal content was used to keep the experience straightforward, with clear call-to-action buttons leading directly to contact options. To add a subtle yet engaging touch, interactive scroll movements were applied to the neon shapes, enhancing the site’s modern feel without overwhelming the user experience.
It was essential to present services clearly so patients and parents find the information they need quickly. Well-placed calls to action make it easy for people to get in touch and start and make an appointment.
AI Visual Creations
Using AI-generated visuals for the practice waiting room presentation, added a sense of warmth and positivity to the space. The goal was to make patients of all ages smile while waiting, using visuals that were on-brand, but also fun and a bit entertaining.
In addition to digital visuals, a series of custom black-and-white artworks was created to complement the practice’s environment. These pieces depict children and young adults in settings inspired by Essen’s industrial landscape, blending local identity with the practice’s welcoming atmosphere. The monochromatic style ensures the artworks remain timeless and cohesive with the overall aesthetic.
